The Edmonton Catholic School Division is currently proposing to redevelop the existing St James School.
This has been a hot topic at both our November and December community league meetings, and has generated quite a bit of discussion amongst a number of our residents.
A community consultation was held November 23rd at the school. All King Edward Park Residents should have received a notice of this meeting in the mail.
Unfortunately, a thorough and detailed set of plans isn't available to be posted online. At best, you can find details via the City of Edmonton map here which lists the folowing details:
Major Development Permit
Job No 229265057-001: To construct interior and exterior alterations to a Public Education Services Use building (St James School, adding 167 parking stalls).
7814 - 83 STREET NW Plan 1738HW Blk 11 Lot B
BURGESS BREDO ARCHITECT LTD, BURGESS BREDO
KING EDWARD PARK
The Edmonton Journal ran an article mentioning the proposed redevelopment, which you can read here, which includes a schematic of the proposed new site layout.
